Cycling Lessons
Riding a bike is one of the easiest ways to get around in the Netherlands, and for most locals it is the preferred mode of transportation. If cycling is new for you and your family or you are just out of practice, you may want to consider taking a few lessons. Our partners offer local cycling lessons focusing on balance, confidence and traffic safety, for adults and children.
Fiets met me mee (Cycle With Me)
If you or your children can’t ride a bike very well (yet) or you just want to improve your skills, consider teaming up with Gert Noordhoek, owner and operator of ‘Fiets met me mee’ in Amersfoort. Gert has been working with children and adults since 2018 and is a certified cycling instructor. If you are new to the Netherlands, Gert can teach you all of the bicycle safety rules you need to know to help you navigate on bicycle paths and travel safely through traffic.

Annie Tiekstra, owner and operator of ‘Samen Opfietsen', has travelled the world by bike. She now shares her talent and joy with others through teaching children and adults who cannot yet ride a bike, how to ride a bike safely and with confidence.
