Primary Years Programme

Amersfoort International School is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

IB (International Baccalaureate) programmes are focused on 'education for a better world'. Our mission – Learning for all – fully follows this profile. Together, AIS staff and students form a learning community based on inclusion and equal opportunities. We wish to empower our students to become internationally-minded and successful learners in an ever-changing world.

The Primary Years Programme focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in school and in the world beyond. The PYP offers a transdisciplinary, inquiry-based and student-centered education with responsible action at its core, enabling students to learn between, across and beyond traditional subject boundaries.
